OPI Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It

Hello Readers!

Today I am reviewing OPI's Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It. It is from the 'vintage minnie mouse' collection, and is a pink glitter polish with small confetti love hearts in it!

It is ideal to wear over another colour, as a top coat. It does require a bit of effort to distribute the love hearts on your nail, because on some coats, you may not even get a love heart out, you'd just get a layer of fine pink glitter!

I am currently wearing this nail polish with my other OPI nail polish, 'My address is Hollywood'.

This is a really girly and fun nail polish, and can see myself getting a lot of use out of it! I have had this on for two days now, and have experienced minimal chipping.

You can get it here for £11, or any other OPI stockist of your choice!

My Rating: 4/5

OPI Be a Dahlia Won't You? - Nail Polish Review

Hello Readers!

This is just a quick post, showing you what I am currently wearing on my nails! This is a mini OPI nail varnish, in the shade 'Be a Dahlia Won't You?'. This shade came from OPI Nice Stems collection. This pack contains 4 polishes, and retails for just under £13. You can buy this on BeautyBay here. I think buying miniature OPI's is a good idea, because it allows you to try various colours and finishes for a lower price, and saves you around £11 if you were to buy a full size version, to find you don't like it!

This is a really nice sparkling fuchsia pink colour! It catches the light really nicely, and just is a lovely sparkling colour! It is not glitter, it is just heavily shimmery! Because of how shimmery/ sparkly it is, I found it hard to pick up the exact colour of the polish.

My flash is making the colour seem more of a red colour, when it is a hot pink

The image on the left, with no flash, is very precise to the actual colour of the polish :D

As you can see, the bottle is tiny! It holds a teeny 3.75ml of product, compared to the full size version which holds 15ml!

Disclaimer: This photograph is not mine, I found it on google images, but I thought I would include it as it shows a true representative of the colour! :)

I really like the formula of this product, and I have had it on for 2 days so far, and have not had any chipping! It is a very glamourous colour haha! I think I may have to wear it on a few more occasions, to be able to decide whether I would like to purchase it full size!

My Rating (for the colour and the quality): 4/5

Have any of you tried this colour?

Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lip Gloss - Crush: Review

Hello Readers!

If you  have read my last couple of posts, you will know that I have been to Paris! This is my last beauty review from the things which I have bought whilst I was over there!

I picked up this Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Sephora, in the shade Crush. It is a girly pink, slightly edging towards a more hot pink colour, but it doesn't look too vibrant on the lips. The last photo, with the swatch, is the exact colour, as the lighting makes the others look a tad brighter than it is!

Urban Decay say it is a "Cooling Lip Gloss" and it contains an ingredient called 'Maxi-Lip' which is a non-irritant plumping ingredient. I had done a bit of research on Maxi-Lip, and it claims that if you use it everyday for a whole month, your lips plump to an average of 40%!

It is very creamy and not sticky at all. I hate lip glosses when they are sticky! I love the packaging! The tube is a squeezy plastic tube, and the screw on lid is a gorgeous patterned metal lid! The lid was one of the main things which attracted me to this product if I'm going to be honest! The colour obviously being the first though!

I bought this for €18, but you can buy this from Debenhams here for £13! I think it is totally worth it!

My Rating 4/5

Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick - Sexy Game Review

Hello Readers!

If you  have read my last couple of posts, you will know that I have been to Paris!

Whilst on my venture in Sephora, I picked up one of their 'Rouge Cream' lipsticks in the colour 'Sexy Game 12'.

I really like the packaging! You can't really see it as well as I would of liked (due to rubbish lighting) But the lid is just plain black plastic, and then around the bottom of the base, it is a shinier black plastic displaying the word 'SEPHORA'. Like the MUA lipsticks, on the bottom of this one has the colour of the lipstick.

It is a nice deep red/ rosy brown colour. It is amazingly pigmented, within one swipe your whole lip is covered! It is very creamy not dry like most Barry M lipsticks! The colour that it is showing up on my lip picture is more accurate to the real colour, as the lighting is making it look more red/orange in the other pictures!

If I get the chance again, I would like to buy more of these! To me, it is a tad too dark for an everyday colour, but I think it would be nice as an evening/ more sophisticated colour!

You can view more colours here which is on the US Sephora website.

I bought this €10.90, which is approx. £8.70.

My Rating: 4/5

Sephora Long Lasting Eye Liner Review

Hello Readers!

If you have read my past couple of posts, you will know that I had been to Paris! When in Sephora, I picked up a few bits which caught my eye!

This post is about Sephora's own brand of Long Lasting Eye Liner. I hadn't heard of this product, so I bought it 'blind'.

THIS. EYELINER. IS. AMAZING. :D Before I went to paris, I was still on the hunt for the perfect eyeliner, but still had not succeeded! So I went into Sephora on the second day I was in Paris, and picked this up. The main thing which attracted it to me, was how thick the brush is! I hate the skinny little brushes, as I like to create a fairly thick line on my eye, and with a thin brush, it takes a lot more precision! This has a spongey textured 'brush' and creates a perfect line!

I tried this out as soon as I got back to our hotel, and fell in love! I wore it for the rest of the day (which it happened to be raining :( ) and it did not budge! I love it so much, I had to go back into Sephora the next day, to stock up! This eyeliner is still a firm favourite of mine!

I got mine in the colour 01 Black/Noir. It cost me €10.90 which is approx. £8.70.

My Rating: 5/5

Sephora Fresh Glossy Gloss Review

Hello Readers!

If you read my last post, you will know that I have been to Paris. Before I went, I knew I must take a trip into Sephora, because as far as I know, there aren't any here in the UK!

It is such an amazing shop! All make-up lovers would be in make-up heaven! It is faaaab! Here are a few photographs of inside Sephora! *Swoon*

Doesn't it look amazing?!

Anyway onto the review!

A lot of people steer away from blue lipgloss. So did I, until I tried this out! It doesn't come out vibrant blue, and people won't be able to tell that you have blue lipgloss on! The blue in it helps your teeth look  whiter. This is why blue toned pink lipsticks (such as Lovelorn by Mac) are a big hit!

It is not sticky, which is a bonus! Sephora had so many colours to choose from, but as far as I am aware, this one is the only 'fresh breath sensation' gloss. It is mint flavored, and once you have had it on your lips for at least 3 seconds, it starts to tingle your lips! Its nothing too uncomfortable, I'm not sure if it claims to plump your lips.. if it is, it doesn't work on me!

Overall, it is a nice product, but not one that when it runs out, I will feel the need to panic and pay excessive postage fees for another! I'm sure you could find similar products in Boots or Superdrug!

You get 15ml of product for €8.50, which is around £6.90.

My Rating: 3/5

Bioderma Crealine H2O Cleanser Review

Hello Readers!

Sorry about the long delay in blog posts, I have been busy with college still, and revising for exams coming up this month! :(

At the end of April I went to Paris for a few days, and did a bit of shopping! Today I will review some Bioderma which I had read so much about, so needed to try it out for myself! When I get the time, I will review all the other little purchases which I bought.

This cleanser is so gentle, you wouldn't even know it is cleanser if you were given it to use in a label-free bottle! It is colourless and scentless, but removes every bit of makeup. Including waterproof mascara! I have fairly sensitive skin, and this does not irritate it at all!
To remove my daily make up, I usually put a fair amount on 2 cotton pads, and use one on each eye (But I wear a line of eyeliner on my top eyelid, so requires a bit more to get it all off!) and then I use one more cotton pad for my face! Once you have used it you feel refreshed and clean! To me, it leaves a slight tight feeling on my face, but it is nothing uncomfortable. It is a wonder product!

Like I said, I got this in Paris in one of the many pharmacies. I got 2 X 500ml Bottles for €18 which is approx. £14.50, so £7.25 a bottle. It is quick a struggle it get your hands on it over here, but if you really feel you need to try it out, and will not be able to access it from abroad, you can buy it on Amazon here for just over £20 for a 500ml bottle.

Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner

Hello Readers!

Sorry about the long gap in posts, I've been so busy! :(

On to the post.. Alot of people underestimate how good collection 2000 is! I know a lot of bloggers swear by their longwear concealer which they do, and I'm one of them!

For eyeliner, I previously used Maybelline's gel eyeliner, but as I am quite clumsy, it takes me a lot of time to get the perfect line! So I decided to go into Boots, and see what alternatives there are out on the market. In my local Boots, there isnt a huge range of make up brands, but just a few good ones. I already had in mind that I wanted a felt tip liner, as I prefer a thick line on my eyes. I orginally picked up a Bourjois one, which was just under £7. I continued to browse, and found this one on the Collection 2000 range (which has now been renamed as 'collection'). I swatched both of them on my hand, and to me, the formula was the same.

The packaging for this is very sleek, and not offensive. It has a firm plastic lid, which saves you worrying that it will come of in you make up bag and dry out/ make a mess!

The formula is moist, and doesn't drag on your eyes. When I swatched it on paper for the photo, it did look quite dry, but I suppose it is not designed for paper! It applies really nicely, and gives a nice precise application.

It retails for £2.99 which is a complete bargain!

My rating: 3/5

Jack Wills Nail Varnish - Rose

Hello Readers!

The other day, I bought this nail varnish from Jack Wills. For all of you who don't know what Jack Wills is, its a (fairly pricey) clothing brand, which was originally aimed at university students.

I knew Jack Wills did "Beauty" but I was always quite reluctant to try it, because their main selling point is clothes, so I didn't know if they were to look for quality in their products, rather than just launching make up, just because they can! So I thought that I will try a nail varnish first, and see how that measures up!

I got the colour Rose, which in the bottle looks, a cross between a barbie pink, and almost quite coral coloured! However when it is on the nails, it does match up to the description which I just said, but in natural daylight, it almost looks quite neon pink, which personally, I'm not a massive fan of!

The bottle is a lot like Models Own nail polishes, but this one has got a plastic navy lid, as the main colours of Jack Wills are navy and pink. The formula surprised me! It is a fairly thick consistency, but still needs two coats! I have had it on for 2 days now, and there are still no chips! If it stays like this, barely chipping, I will invest in some more colours! Ive seen a really nice baby blue/ mint colour, which is called Aqua on the website, and I really like the look of it!

I will keep this on my nails for a few days longer, and see if I can warm to the colour! If not, I think it will be a nice colour for toe nails in the summer!

This retails for £6 for 14ml. I don't think that is too bad, given the quality! The only downside to this polish, is the colour is a bit bright for my liking!

Here is a link to the page on the Jack Wills website with the nail polishes on!

Have any of you tried any Jack Wills' beauty range? Do let me know what you think to it! :D

Technic Carnival Nail Polish

Hello Readers!

Yesterday I picked myself up yet another nail polish. Its official, I have too many now! But as soon as I saw this one, I just couldn't resist it! This certain shade has been floating around the "blogosphere" and I finally got my mitts on it! I have a bit of a weakness when it comes to glittery nail polishes! I have been eyeing up OPI's Rainbow Connection, and this one is supposed to be a dupe of it.

I present to you, Technic's version, Carnival!

From what I can work out, it has 2 different sizes of multi-coloured glitter in it! To get full coverage, I would recommend 3-4 coats.

I bought mine from a Bodycare Store, which unfortunately do not have an online shop. I bought mine for 99p, which is an absolute steal compared to OPI's £10+ prices! I would get down to your nearest Bodycare if you can access one, if not, here is a link for some on Amazon., They are slightly more expensive on there, but just think about the saving you are getting, from not buying the OPI version!

Do any of you girls have this polish? What do you think about it? I love it!

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Crystal Creme Lipstick - Crystal Pink; Review

Hello Readers, and welcome new readers! :D

I have another lipstick review for you! This one is from Estee Lauder. This lipstick is the only product I own from this brand, and it has not given me any negative views on the brand!

The lipstick is so creamy on application! In colour, it looks quite dark to me, however it matches my lip colour! The lasting power for this lipstick in my opinion would be about 2 hours maximum, and thats without eating! But as it is in such a glamourous and luxurious tube, I'm not too fussed about retouching in public! It is a bit sheerer than a normal lipstick, but some how gives an excellent flush of colour!

What Estee Lauder have to say about it: "Looks and feels incredible. It leaves lips wanting more. Enriched with lip-loving ingredients, including apricot kernel, shea butter and murumuru butter that leave lips soft and creamy smooth." What woman could turn that description away?! If I didn't already have this lipstick, I would definitely want to go out ASAP and buy this lipstick!

This lipstick retails for £18.50 for 3.8g of product. To me, this is definitely a luxury buy, and it is a proud member of my lipstick collection.

My Rating: 4/5 ****

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick - Boy

Hello readers!

I received this lipstick as a gift for christmas, and have only just got round to reviewing it for you!

(Sorry about the rubbish quality of the photos, the lighting source is really rubbish!)

Anyway, onto the product! The colour of this lipstick is 54- Boy. It is a perfect everyday colour. To me, it is a 'my lips but better' colour. It is labeled as "Hydrating sheer lipstick." The lipstick is very sheer, as it states, so you will not get 100% full coverage with this product. The texture of it is more like a lip balm, but gives your lips a lovely sheen of colour!

To me, all Chanel makeup packaging is so chic, and fancy! Even the cardboard box which the lisptick comes in is nice! The lipstick casing itself, is black plastic, with a gold metal ring around the centre. My Chanel mascara has a silver part, rather than gold!

What Boots have to say about this lipstick "As melt-away as a balm, its lip-embracing texture becomes fluid on contact with the lips and provides a stunning gloss effect with natural shine. Deliciously fresh and soft, it delivers an unforgettable sensation of well-being.Lips are enveloped in the incomparable comfort of continuous 8-hour-long hydration thanks to the Hydratender complex, the secret behind the softness of the ROUGE COCO range.Sparkling with vitality, your smile takes on a new sheer colour."

The lipstick has a slight floral smell and taste, but it is nothing too offensive.

You get 3g of product, for £23. Some people will probably think that spending that amount of money on a single lipstick is ridiculous, my mum being one of them! However, this is probably one of the most luxurious items in my make up collection. I believe that every woman, at least once in their lives, should own a Chanel product!

I absolutely love this lipstick, it is my absolute favorite out of my entire collection. But I need to use it sparingly, as I dont want to run out of this fantastic product anytime soon!

Well done Chanel!
